Abstract

This article is about the experience industries during and after the corona pandemic, and about how these industries met and handled the corona crisis, not only defensively and reactively, but also offensively and innovatively. First, we look at how the corona crisis and shutdown generally affected the experience industries through a series of studies of the experience industries' situation during the pandemic. Next, a number of more theoretical as well as professional-communicative treatments of the complex between experience industries, corona pandemic and innovation are reviewed. Subsequently, a number of short case examples of companies within the experience industries are presented, illustrating and exemplifying the various innovative initiatives that the companies initiated during the crisis. Finally, the article looks at the types of innovation that have emerged during the corona pandemic, as well as discussing the connection between crisis and innovation. The article ends with a conclusion and perspective in relation to the time post-corona.
