Mantis Photonics AB has developed, tested and patented (with 2 patent famillies) a novel snapshot hyperspectral imaging technology for retinal scanning. This technology that was originally used and developed for satellite earth observation enables to observe a scene in multiple colours (40) instead of the 3 colours of standard RGB cameras. Thus, providing a new realm
of information previously hidden, that can be exploited by new image analysis.
Our goal is to sell this camera first to ophthalmology clinics and then to general practitioner (GP) and optician stores as this will enable us to use this camera for large scale screening. We plan to use a hybrid hardware sale and SaaS business model as it matches both the Economical capabilities of GP’s and the potential evolution of the software.
