Description
The Thirdroom AI team specializes in providing state-of-the-art technologies aimed at simplifying the tracking and analysis of real-world job roles. Our latest product, the Thirdroom Skill Taxonomy (TST), is an advanced hierarchical system that fosters collaboration and research, unlocking fresh insights into career progression. The taxonomy comprises four levels, each having a unique 1:1 relationship to prevent any overlap of data. TST strikes a balance between granularity and aggregation, constantly updated to incorporate emerging job roles in the dynamic market landscape.
To extract the maximum amount of information, we have developed SkillTr, a robust tool that generates diverse forms of input text, encompassing everything from basic IT tool names to intricate hidden and soft skills. SkillTr seamlessly connects the extracted entities to a standardized skill database on Elasticsearch. Its modular codebase ensures scalability, enabling the processing of thousands of sentences within minutes. As a result, SkillTr has become an invaluable resource for researchers and decision-makers in education, government, and the private sector.
The development of TST and SkillTr is made possible through a Knowledge Collaboration Project supported by AI Denmark in partnership with Aalborg University (AAU). While the project addresses the specific needs of Thirdroom, it also leverages AAU's research interests to derive valuable insights from the collaboration. Thirdroom and AAU engage in a reciprocal knowledge exchange, with Thirdroom sharing its knowledge about encountered challenges and the contextual nuances surrounding them, while AAU contributes relevant publicly available research-based knowledge from its institutional repository. This collaborative approach empowers Thirdroom to effectively tackle its challenges and seamlessly integrate new knowledge into the company's operations. Concurrently, AAU gains invaluable experience and novel research insights through this collaborative endeavor.
